Turkish and Belgian defence industry firms have agreed a strategic cooperation framework covering joint product development, production and exports. Under the framework the two sides will work together on subsystem development and certification processes for both land and air platforms.
In the meetings, long-term engineering exchanges between leading Turkish defence contractors and Belgium-based companies were a central theme. The parties are expected to publish joint guidance on supplier certification and end-user authorisations.
With European defence budgets rising, integration of Turkish firms into the NATO supply chain is accelerating. Officials say the agreement supports Turkey's export targets in European markets, while Belgian partners aim to benefit from added scale.
