Trump Says China Will Order 200 Boeing Jets
President Trump told Fox News that China will buy 200 jets from Boeing as part of agreements reached at the Beijing summit. The deal would be one of the largest single orders for the US planemaker in years. Boeing shares slipped in early trading as investors awaited contract specifics.

Speaking to Fox News after the Beijing summit, US President Donald Trump said China will purchase 200 passenger jets from Boeing as part of commercial understandings reached with President Xi Jinping. According to Trump, the order will largely cover the 737 MAX family.
If confirmed, the deal would be one of Boeing's largest single-customer orders in years. Chinese carriers leaned heavily on Airbus during their post-pandemic fleet renewal, and the announcement could help the US planemaker recoup market share. Trump also said China would step up purchases of soybeans and US energy.
Wall Street's initial reaction was cautious. Boeing shares slipped after the comments, with MarketWatch noting investors are waiting on contract size, delivery schedule and pricing terms. Chinese airlines and regulators have yet to issue formal confirmation of the order.
