Turkey's Defence Ministry has detailed an upcoming mobilisation drill that will be staged in several Turkish provinces. The ministry said the exercise is a routine readiness assessment carried out within the legal framework and that it will be run without disrupting civilian life.
Ministry officials said the drill will test coordination on the ground between military units and the provincial governorates, the disaster authority AFAD and the health, transport and energy agencies. Communication systems, logistics flows, reservist call-up procedures and the protection of critical infrastructure are among the elements to be reviewed.
The ministry stressed that the exercise is not linked to any specific regional tension and is part of a readiness cycle aligned with NATO standards. Once results are evaluated, interagency cooperation plans are expected to be updated to address any gaps identified during the drill.
