The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) informal summit has formally opened in the Kazakh city of Turkistan. Member states are spotlighting economic integration, transport corridors and energy cooperation. Türkiye is bringing concrete files to the summit through the KazanForum and the Istanbul-Astana finance hub agreement.

The OTS informal summit opens against the backdrop of accelerated institutional integration among member states in recent months. Leaders from Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, alongside observer-state representatives, gathered in Turkistan.
The agenda includes Middle Corridor rail and road infrastructure, digital economy standards and customs facilitation at border crossings. The strategic cooperation framework between Istanbul Finance Centre and the Astana International Financial Centre is regarded as one of the summit's tangible deliverables.
According to TRT Haber, the leaders will also focus on deepening Black Sea-Caspian energy corridors. A joint communiqué is expected at the closing session, along with the calendar for next year's regular summit.
