Advent reaches 8% stake in Brazil's Natura, winning two board seats
Private-equity firm Advent has reached an 8% economic position in Natura, Brazil's biggest cosmetics maker, a threshold that lets it name two members to the company's board. The full purchase is worth billions of reais, marking a major shift in the beauty group's ownership.

Private-equity firm Advent has reached an 8% economic position in Natura, Brazil's biggest cosmetics maker. It directly owns 90,676,500 shares, or 6.6% of the capital, plus a further 1.4% through derivatives.
The 8% threshold entitles Advent to name two members to Natura's board. The full purchase, ranging between 8% and 10%, is estimated to be worth billions of reais, marking a significant change in the beauty group's ownership structure.
Analysts said the institutional investor's growing weight could influence Natura's strategic decisions. Expected changes to the company's governance and Advent's longer-term plans are set to remain a focus for the market in the period ahead, particularly as the cosmetics group navigates a competitive regional sector.
