Al-Nassr defeated visiting Al-Khaleej 2-0 in the final round of the Saudi Pro League, with both goals scored by Cristiano Ronaldo. The trophy was presented to the team captain in a ceremony at Al-Awwal Park stadium in Riyadh after the final whistle.
The 41-year-old Portuguese striker finished the season with 35 goals to claim the league's top scorer award and the title together. "We worked hard for this honour over three seasons," Ronaldo said after the game; the head coach described the team's defensive consistency as the season's most decisive feature.
Al-Nassr's league title brings direct entry into next season's AFC Champions League Elite competition. Thousands of supporters joined celebrations with flags and pyrotechnics around the Riyadh stadium; the club says it plans to announce transfer decisions in the coming weeks as it prepares for continental competition.
