The remarks come amid intensifying claims that Pyongyang has been supplying troops and munitions to support Russia's war effort in Ukraine. Western intelligence agencies have reported that military cooperation between the two countries has grown markedly in recent months.
Analysts say Kim's comments are aimed both at easing the regime's international isolation domestically and at signaling a united front against the West abroad. Seoul and Washington said they are closely monitoring the developments.
