Nvidia, SpaceX and Microsoft launch AI safety alliance after OpenAI hack

Nvidia, SpaceX and Microsoft are among the founding members of a new industry coalition called the Open Secure AI Alliance, joined by Palantir and dozens of other technology companies from the United States and Europe. The group aims to share threat intelligence and coordinate defenses against attacks targeting artificial intelligence systems.

The alliance was announced as fallout continued from a cyberattack on OpenAI that raised fresh questions about the security of AI infrastructure across the industry. Member companies said they would collaborate on common security standards, vulnerability disclosure practices and rapid-response protocols for future breaches.

The initiative reflects growing concern among technology firms that AI systems, which increasingly handle sensitive corporate and government data, have become high-value targets for hackers. Analysts said the coalition's scale, spanning chipmakers, cloud providers and data-analytics firms, signals the industry sees the threat as systemic rather than isolated to any single company.
