China's student housing tops property bets amid pricing slump
Student housing and offices are among the top investment options in mainland China's property market amid a pricing slump, according to consultancy CBRE. Demand for suitable student accommodation continues to outstrip supply.

Student housing is among the top choices for investors in mainland China's property market during a period of falling prices, according to property consultancy CBRE. Demand for suitable student accommodation continuing to outstrip supply is helping drive that interest.
According to the SCMP, interest in the student-housing segment is rising in particular across the mainland, Hong Kong and Australia. CBRE says much of the increase is being driven by mainland China.
With broad weakness in property pricing persisting, specific segments such as offices and student housing are seen as relatively more attractive for investors. Assessments are attributed to CBRE analysts. This article is not investment advice.
