Videos show Kuwait intercepting ballistic missiles from Iran
According to Al Jazeera, Kuwait's air-defence systems intercepted ballistic missiles launched from Iran before they could hit a facility near the capital. The footage has accelerated emergency consultations across the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Al Jazeera reports that the incident took place around 02:30 local time near the Subiya area north of Kuwait City. Videos circulating on social media and verified by independent sources show at least three ballistic missiles being intercepted in mid-air. Kuwait's Defence Ministry confirmed that US Patriot batteries stationed in the region were also used in the operation.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) said it had brought down a further wave of missiles and drones from Iran. Brent crude jumped about three dollars shortly after the incident was disclosed; the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) announced it will hold an emergency meeting later in the day.
Iran's state media argued that the strike had targeted US logistics elements rather than Kuwaiti territory. Diplomatic sources say Oman's quiet good-offices channels could be reactivated as tensions sharpen. This is not investment advice.
