Ukrainian officials have repeatedly urged Western allies to ease restrictions on long-range strikes against military-industrial targets inside Russia.
The commander also pointed to Crimea's continued role as a staging ground for Russian forces, saying cutting off the peninsula's military logistics would further limit Moscow's reach. Kyiv has stepped up drone and missile operations against Crimean bases and supply routes in recent months as both sides adapt to a prolonged war.
