President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received UAE Vice President and head of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Presidential Complex in Ankara. Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek joined the meeting.
According to officials, the two sides discussed the second tranche of the UAE's 50 billion-dollar investment commitment to Turkey. The package's focus on logistics, renewables and defence reflects Gulf states' drive to diversify supply chains after the Iran war disrupted Hormuz routes.
The BIST 100 index in Istanbul closed up 0.15% at a record 15,062.65, with Aselsan and Albaraka shares ending the session up more than 2%. Diplomatic sources said Sheikh Mansour will travel on to Doha on Saturday.
