The statement followed comments by US Vice-President JD Vance that international inspectors would be invited back to Iran's nuclear sites. Tehran stressed that it had not taken on any new obligations at this stage.
Following the US–Iran war, the nuclear file remains one of the most sensitive issues between the two sides. Diplomatic contacts are expected to continue, with each side holding to its own conditions.
