Iran's IRGC Warns US Against Ship Attacks as Israel Bombs Lebanon
Iran's Revolutionary Guards have explicitly warned the United States against any attack on shipping, while Israel struck targets in southern Lebanon, keeping regional military tension high despite continuing diplomatic efforts.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has explicitly warned the United States against any attack on its shipping. The warning came as military assets across the Strait of Hormuz remain on a high alert posture. Tehran issued the statement while talks with Washington continue without a concrete breakthrough.
At nearly the same time, Israeli aircraft conducted bombing raids on positions said to belong to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. Lebanese government officials say the latest strikes also caused damage in civilian areas. Tensions are reported to be rising across the region, forcing Gulf states to review some commercial flight corridors.
While diplomatic channels remain open, investors are tracking the swings in Brent crude oil prices closely. The European Union and the United Nations have repeated their calls for the fighting to stop. But the sharp tone coming from both Israel and Iran underlines the size of the obstacles to even a short-term ceasefire.
