Bahrain detains dozens over alleged links to Iran's Revolutionary Guards
Bahrain's interior ministry said it has detained 47 people allegedly linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guards, marking the largest such crackdown in years and deepening the US-Iran war's spillover into the Gulf.

In a statement from Manama, the ministry said the detainees were 'part of plots and cells targeting Bahrain's internal stability.' It alleged five had received direct IRGC training and entered the country in the past three months.
Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei called the accusations 'entirely unfounded and provocative.' There was no statement from the US Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain, but the US ambassador's office said coordination with local authorities had stepped up.
The Bahrain Bourse BHB index closed the week 1.7% weaker. The Bahraini dinar held its dollar peg. Gulf state bond yields widened twelve basis points on the week; Bahrain's ten-year sovereign yield rose to 6.32%. Aramco shares in Riyadh fell 0.9%.
