Chinese artificial intelligence chip developer Moore Threads plans to seek a listing in Hong Kong after reporting a 147 per cent jump in first-half revenue. The Shanghai-listed company said its board has approved a plan to issue H shares and list on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, a move designed to deepen its international strategic footprint.
Moore Threads, often described as a domestic challenger to Nvidia, is seeking fresh capital amid booming demand for home-grown computing power in China. The company designs graphics processing units and AI accelerators aimed at reducing reliance on foreign chipmakers as Beijing pushes for greater semiconductor self-sufficiency.
The proposed Hong Kong listing would give Moore Threads access to international investors while its shares continue trading on Shanghai's STAR Market. The company has not disclosed a timeline for the listing or the size of the planned share issuance, and the plan remains subject to regulatory approval.
