The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey held its 2026 year-end inflation projection at 36%, citing balanced but tilted-to-the-upside risks in its quarterly Inflation Report.
The Governor said disinflation remains on schedule and that the tight monetary stance will be maintained decisively. Inflation expectations and unit labour costs were flagged as the risks most closely tracked.
USD/TRY showed a muted reaction after the release, trading around 32.48. Domestic banking shares outperformed on the day.
