China imposes trade curbs on dozens of U.S. firms in retaliation for Pentagon blacklist
China imposed export controls and government procurement bans on dozens of U.S. firms in retaliation for the Pentagon adding Chinese technology companies to its 1260H list. The targeted firms span defence, aerospace and semiconductor supply chains, according to Beijing's commerce ministry. The move marks a fresh front in the bilateral technology dispute.

China's commerce ministry said it had introduced export controls and government procurement bans on dozens of U.S. firms after the Pentagon this month added a slew of Chinese technology companies to its 1260H list. Officials described the move as a "legitimate countermeasure".
The targeted firms include U.S. companies active in defence, aerospace, semiconductor and drone supply chains. Beijing said additional names could be placed on its "unreliable entities list" and that licensing requirements for certain critical minerals were also under review.
The technology dispute between Washington and Beijing, which has heated up in recent months, has opened a fresh front. The tit-for-tat measures heighten pressure on global manufacturers, particularly in semiconductor and rare-earth supply chains, and the relevant sectors saw selling pressure on U.S. equity markets.
