AI infrastructure stocks overtake tech hyperscalers in value creation, UBS says
A UBS research team says value creation in the AI infrastructure sector has soared 600% in four years, compared with just 100% for the big cloud "hyperscalers." The finding points to investor attention shifting toward chip and data-center suppliers. UBS calls the reordering "extraordinary."

The research arm of UBS reports that companies building AI infrastructure have overtaken the big cloud providers in value creation over the past four years. Value creation in the infrastructure segment climbed 600%, the bank said, against just 100% for the giants known as hyperscalers.
The infrastructure category spans chipmakers, data-center operators and the cooling and power suppliers that physically make artificial intelligence possible. UBS described the reordering as "extraordinary."
Analysts say the picture shows investors in the AI theme now looking beyond software platforms to the hardware and energy chains that feed them. Even so, some strategists remain cautious about whether the rapid valuations can be sustained if demand growth cools.
