Ten Interpol red-notice ISIS suspects captured in Syria
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that ten ISIS suspects subject to Interpol red notices were captured in a cross-border operation in Syria. Authorities said the operation was coordinated by the National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) with Turkish security units and local partners.

In a social media statement, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said the operation was planned outside the established safe zone in northern Syria and that ten ISIS members subject to Interpol red notices had been detained and brought back to Türkiye. Minister Yerlikaya did not disclose details of the continuing judicial process for each suspect.
The operation was conducted jointly by the National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) and Turkish Armed Forces special operations units, with information sharing with international security partners during the targeting phase, officials said. According to Anadolu Ajansı, some of those detained had served logistics and financial roles in attacks during the 2014-2017 period.
The action is being framed as part of a sequence of capture operations led by MIT in recent months against cross-border ISIS networks. Anadolu Ajansı reports that the Ministry of Justice is handling extradition coordination in line with relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
