US musician Oliver Tree dies in Brazil helicopter collision
US musician Oliver Tree, 31, was killed when two helicopters collided over São Paulo state during a private transfer for an event. Six people in total lost their lives in the crash, Brazilian officials said. The country's civil aviation authority has opened a full safety investigation as the music industry mourned the singer.

Two helicopters collided in mid-air over rural São Paulo state on Sunday evening while ferrying passengers to a private music festival. Brazilian officials said all six people on the two aircraft, including 31-year-old US singer Oliver Tree, died in the crash. Air-force teams reached the wreckage roughly 220 kilometres north of the city, in dense forest.
Tree built a global following on streaming platforms with his deadpan parody-pop style and tracks such as "Hurt" and "Miss You" that drew billions of streams. His label, Atlantic Records, said the industry had "lost a singular artist". Fans held a small candlelit vigil in his native San Francisco.
Brazil's civil aviation authority ANAC said it has begun a full review of air-traffic records and pilot flight hours. Brazilian helicopter crashes have killed at least 28 people in tourism-related flights over the past two years, according to the agency.
