Iran warns of 'reciprocal action' if US fails to honour MOU commitments
Iran's foreign ministry warned of "reciprocal action" if Washington fails to honour the commitments in the preliminary US-Iran memorandum of understanding (MOU), Al Jazeera reported. Tehran is seeking clarity from Washington on the timing and scale of sanctions relief. Sunday's technical session in Switzerland is critical.

Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson said Tehran's message to Washington was that failure to implement the commitments in the MOU framework would trigger "reciprocal actions." According to Al Jazeera, the Iranian side has requested written clarity from the US Treasury on its sanctions-relief plan and timeline.
The MOU framework rests on the principle that Iran limits certain nuclear activity levels in exchange for the US suspending parts of its energy and banking sanctions. Tehran says no concrete sanctions-relief step has been taken in recent weeks and that domestic political pressure is intensifying because the impact on the economy is delayed.
US Vice President Vance confirmed he will attend Sunday's technical session, and the Treasury said it will clarify the sanctions-relief schedule within ten days. The European Union said IAEA monitoring reports would build trust between the parties. Oil markets are watching the negotiations closely.
