PSG beat Arsenal on penalties to win back-to-back Champions League titles
Paris Saint-Germain defeated Arsenal on penalties to win back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles in Munich, Al Jazeera reported. The final ended 1-1 after extra time, with Luis Enrique's side becoming the first French club to lift the trophy in successive years.

Paris Saint-Germain lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy for a second consecutive season after beating Arsenal on penalties at Munich's Allianz Arena. Bukayo Saka opened the scoring in the 12th minute, but Ousmane Dembélé equalised in the 67th; extra time produced no further goals, sending the final to a shootout.
Luis Enrique's side won the shootout 5-3 after goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma denied Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard and midfielder Declan Rice. Donnarumma told reporters that 'our defensive identity changed this season; this is a story of patience for Paris.' Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta walked over to the supporters and said 'we have collected pain for years; we will be back.'
PSG expects 142 million euros in additional revenue from sponsorship clauses and the UEFA prize pool. The team joined celebrations at the foot of the Eiffel Tower late on Saturday, while early transfer speculation has linked the club to Bayer Leverkusen's Granit Xhaka and Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams. UEFA will hold the next season's draw on 28 August in Monaco.
