Turkish Airlines set to reach company-record reservation count on 31 May
According to Anadolu Agency, Turkish Airlines plans to serve more than 305,000 passengers via 1,867 flights on 31 May, reaching the highest reservation count in the company's history. The figures were announced by THY board and executive committee chairman Murat Seker.

According to Anadolu Agency, Turkish Airlines board and executive committee chairman Murat Seker said 31 May is shaping up as a record day in the carrier's history. Seker's statement noted that 1,867 flights are scheduled to operate that day, serving more than 305,000 passengers. The figures reflect the simultaneous timing of the Eid al-Adha return travel wave and the start of the summer holiday season.
Thanks to fleet expansion and the addition of Asia-Pacific and Latin American routes over the past three years, THY has increased daily flight capacity by about 12%. Seker stressed that once the third runway at Istanbul Airport is fully operational, the peak-day flight count could rise further. Ticket reservations are concentrating on North America, Europe and Gulf routes; on the relevant days, load factors are expected to surpass 90%.
For sector analysis, these numbers signal structural recovery in Turkey's tourism and aviation industry, and they matter for tax revenue and foreign-currency inflows. An investor briefing on the airline's annual passenger-traffic targets is planned for June.
