Iran war day 82: Tehran warns of 'new fronts' as Trump sets fresh deadline
As the Iran war enters its 82nd day, Tehran has warned that 'new fronts' could be opened if negotiations stall. At the same time, US President Donald Trump set a fresh deadline for talks to make progress and called for keeping diplomatic channels open between the parties.

Iran's foreign minister told a briefing in Tehran that the war could enter a new phase, warning that 'new fronts' might be opened if negotiations stall. The minister said sanctions were continuing to weigh on the economy but that the country was prepared for a prolonged confrontation.
The same day, US President Donald Trump used social media to set what he called a 'final opportunity window' for talks. Trump said the United States would keep diplomatic channels open but would keep military options on the table if it deemed them necessary, depending on Tehran's response.
Al Jazeera reported at least 19 people killed in air strikes in Lebanon during the day, while Hezbollah said it had improved its regional strike capabilities. Diplomatic sources said Gulf states are trying to strengthen their mediation role in the negotiations between the parties.
