Fears of renewed Gaza war as Hamas disarmament talks stall
Israeli media reports that Israel is preparing to resume fighting in Gaza as talks with Hamas over disarmament have stalled. The October ceasefire continues to erode by the day.

Israeli media reports the government is preparing to resume military operations in Gaza if disarmament talks with Hamas remain blocked. The October ceasefire is at risk of unravelling as developments accelerate.
The central sticking point is the fate of Hamas's heavier weapons. Talks in Doha mediated by Egypt and Qatar are stuck because Hamas remains reluctant to hand over those arms, while Israel insists it will not sign a durable ceasefire without disarmament being secured first.
The Trump administration confirmed it has dispatched a new Middle East delegation to Doha. A renewed Gaza conflict, on top of recent fighting on the Lebanon-Israel border and the wider Strait of Hormuz crisis, would carry sharp downside risks for already strained regional stability and supply chains.
