"Following the identification, the soldiers struck the terrorists and eliminated them in order to remove the threat," the military said in its statement.
Israeli forces said they would continue operations in the area. The incident again underscores the fragility of the ceasefire between the two sides and points to persistent tension along the Lebanese border.
