Gaza mourns four killed in Israeli strike
Four Palestinians were reported killed in an Israeli Defence Forces air strike in the Gaza Strip. The incident, occurring hours after the announcement of the US-Iran peace deal, has affected the regional diplomatic balance.

Local health authorities in Gaza said those killed were in a residential building in the Khan Younis area. The Israeli Defence Forces said in a statement that the strike had targeted a Hamas military structure and that the incident would be reviewed if civilian casualties were confirmed. Hamas said those targeted were civilians.
The incident took place hours after the announcement of the US-Iran peace deal and drew international concern. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said additional humanitarian corridors into the Gaza Strip should be activated. A formal Hamas response is awaited in the Egypt-brokered ceasefire talks.
Israel also drew inferences about possible implications of the US-Iran deal for the Lebanon-Hezbollah front. The US State Department said the Gaza incident had "caused deep concern" and that measures should be taken to minimise civilian deaths. The G7 summit opens in Évian tomorrow with Middle East security on the agenda.
