Vance says US-Iran deal has many details to settle, US holds 'all the cards'
US Vice President JD Vance said the framework agreed with Iran still has "a lot" of details to work through in the coming weeks, from nuclear inspections to sanctions relief. He stressed that Washington holds "all the cards" in the negotiations and warned the deal can still unravel. The comments came as oil hit three-month lows and US stock futures jumped on Monday.

In a Fox News interview broadcast late Sunday, Vance said the framework reached with Iran still requires weeks of work before a signing ceremony, with nuclear inspections, phased sanctions relief and security arrangements around the Strait of Hormuz all on the table. "We have all the cards," he said, signalling Washington will not soften its negotiating position.
The comments came after Brent crude fell almost 4% to three-month lows and S&P 500 futures rose 0.8% on Monday morning, with the dollar index slightly weaker. Investors expect further oil declines to feed through to lower inflation expectations and to give the Federal Reserve more room on rates.
Democratic senators said any final pact should clear the Senate. Tehran has not yet issued an official response, with markets watching for President Pezeshkian's expected Friday address. This article is not investment advice.
