Iran restores some gas production at the South Pars facility
Iran's Pars Oil and Gas Company chief executive Mehrdad Ahmadi told Iranian media that production has resumed at three offshore platforms after Israeli attacks halted output. The statement is being watched closely as a signal of Tehran's energy infrastructure recovery.

According to Al Jazeera, Pars Oil and Gas Company chief executive Mehrdad Ahmadi said production at South Pars, halted after Israeli targeting, has been gradually restarted at three offshore platforms. The field supplies about 10% of global natural gas output and is a strategic resource.
Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad said recovery is continuing and that a substantial share of lost capacity is expected to be made up by year-end. Goldman Sachs commodity analyst Daan Struyven noted that normalisation of production could gradually ease dollar-denominated Brent pressure; Wood Mackenzie Asia oil director Sushant Gupta said maritime logistics and insurance premiums will determine the pace of return to medium-term levels.
European Commissioner Kadri Simson said the EU energy diversification package will strengthen the Mediterranean LNG corridor, while UN Under-Secretary-General Wosornu repeated calls to protect civilian energy infrastructure. A Türkiye Energy Ministry spokesperson said the flexibility of BOTAŞ's natural gas supply portfolio is being assessed. This piece is not investment advice.
