Russia Unleashes Massive Drone Barrage on Ukraine, Killing Six
Russia launched a massive drone strike on Ukraine that killed at least six people, according to local officials. The attack targeted energy infrastructure in Kyiv and Kharkiv and caused power cuts across several regions. Ukrainian air defence reported it shot down most of the drones launched.

Russia launched an overnight drone attack on Ukraine that killed at least six people and wounded twelve, according to officials. The strikes targeted energy facilities in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Automatic shutdown measures were activated at urban centres.
Ukraine's air force said it shot down most of the drones used, though some hit critical transformer stations. The mayor of Kyiv said power was out for more than 12 hours in some districts. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy renewed his call to European allies for additional air defence systems.
The Russian Defence Ministry said the attack targeted forward command centres of the Ukrainian army, while EU and NATO officials condemned the strike. In Brussels, the European Commission announced that an additional military aid package for Ukraine is expected to be approved in the coming days.
