Mexican authorities capture 'El Virus' suspect tied to Mexico City murders
Mexican security forces said they have captured Alberto Rodríguez, who survived a four-death ambush in Mexico City's Azcapotzalco district. The suspect, known as 'El Virus,' is being investigated for involvement in several murder cases.

Mexico City's prosecutor's office said on Sunday that Alberto Rodríguez, known as 'El Virus,' had been detained in an operation in the Azcapotzalco borough. Rodríguez had survived an armed attack last week in which four other people were killed.
Prosecutors said the suspect's name appears in several open murder investigations within Mexico City. Case files reportedly link him to disputes over local drug sales in the area, although the allegations have not yet been tested in court.
The security cabinet under President Claudia Sheinbaum said coordinated operations against rising violence in the capital would continue. A preliminary detention hearing for Rodríguez is expected later this week.
